In the old testament it says over and over to do it. But the old testament also says that all Fat and Blood belongs to God and we are not to eat it and it says to sacrifice in Blood Offerings to God. Read it. I find it so strange how Some of the old testament is followed and the rest is convientently swept under the rug.
I think now in America it is done many times not as a religious matter but because circumcised men want their baby boys penises to be like theirs. That's why my son's is done - plus his Pediatrican said it reduces the risk of many sexually transmitted diseases, yeast infections, and urinary tract infections (besides being easier to clean and care for).
And I disagree that it feel better if men are not. I've had both. I prefer the friction of a stiff tight one. Uncircumsized men get hurt easier too, can't be as frisky.
But yes we should be happy the way we are.

Circumcision is a "shadow" or "type" of the sign of God's true Covenant with human kind.
God tells Abraham at Genesis 17:10-11 that circumcision is "a sign of the covenant between Me and you." This sign is painful, permanent, and carried out on a private, hidden part of the body.
In Deut. 10:16, Deut, 30:6 and Jer. 4:4, God tells us it is His true wish for us to "take away the foreskins of your hearts." How can this be done? Jeremiah 31:31 tells us it is God's intention to make a "New Covenant" among His believers, beginning with the Jews. This necessitates another kind of circumcision.
Col. 2:11 tells us: "In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ ..." The spirit is also a private, hidden part within us; by cutting off our spiritual foreskins, both men and women experience pain, but it is this cutting that proves we have entered into God's New Covenant. For those under the New Covenant, physical circumcision is NOT required, although some still do for allegedly hygienic or asthetic reasons.
Peace and love in Jesus.

in old times circumcision was done for purposes of hygiene. now with running water and indoor showers it's not as much of an issue but the tradition holds. the extra pleasure thing is disputed by many. not too many have been circumcised later in life to give a counter point of view. shouldn't you be happy with yourself circumcised or uncircumcised?

That's not true about the feels better thing. Like when a girl gets her clit pierced she says the sex is so much better. Soon though it thickens up around there and it's back to normal. Uncircumcised men are 200-300 times more likely to develop urinary and bladder infections. Also, I read about a study, I believe at BC. It involved 10000 cases of cancer of the prick. 9990 were uncircumcized. You can't argue with that data. Nothing more filthy than a retractable cat claw. Get rid of that retractible prick.

As I have stated before, its all a plot to keep people under controll. Why in the world would god want you to cut off part of your penis? Some cultures even circumsise women. It is very bad and dangerous, lots of them die. It consitst of cutting off the clitoris and surrounding vaginal lips, then sewing everything together except for a (now made smaller, for MANS enjoyment) hole to urinate through and to have sex and give birth. If a young girl makes it through the surgery, usually done right there on the dirt with a piece of glass or old dull razorblade, she most likely will die during childbirth. Makes absolutely no sense at all. It is done mostly to keep women in their place, since after the surgery they will take no pleasure in sex, due to not having a clitoris. All sexual pleasure sensors are gone.

It's not a religious matter, it's a Christian matter:
Genesis 17:10-14
"This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your descendants after you: Every maly among you shall be circumcised. You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you. He that is eight days old among you shall be circumcised; every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house, or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring, both he that is born in your house and he that is bought with your money, shall be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an everlasting covenant. Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant."
This is God speaking to Abraham after he promises Abraham all the land of Canaan shall go to his people.
Really tries to drive the point home, doesn't he?

circumcision is no longer a religious. Our circumcision, Christians, is of the heart. Jesus represents the lamb slain.
This ritual is no longer in effect. It is sacrilegious to get circumcised. I think you should do it for health reasons.
1 Ti 2:6 "Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

Because God decreed that all men of the Nation of Israel be circumcised.... and any who would join them as well.
personaly I think it is much better, health wise for the women... much lees likely for "the cheese" to build up... less chance of many uncomfortable deseases spread to the woman.

It's not really a religious matter...it was/is a sanitary matter. Men constantly had to keep the foreskin clean and free of residual urine...unfortunately missing just the slightest trace would result in various infections...hence circumcision. PEACE!

circumcision, was nescessary in the Law of Moses because God commanded it, before Christ came into the world. it separated the Jews from the gentiles. now, in the new covenant circumcision of the flesh is unnescessary and by accepting Christ we have a new circuncision, a circumcision of the heart, which makes us a new creature in Christ
