Yes Creastionism is a theory because it is unprovable by todays standards. Evolution is also a theory (even though there is more hard evidence backing it up then just a book). Seriously, where are the scientific studies to prove religion (and you can't disprove anything until you agree of proofs, which are truths that can only exist when other things are false). If anyone says the bible is proof then you're an idiot and don't bother posting an answer. If you think MAN (a lying and deceitful creator) wrote the bible on truth (I'd make up a religion if I knew idiots would fall for it) then you are crazy. I want scientific proof that God does exist, and not half-truth stories of seeing the virgin Mary in your apple sauce. Evolution has fossil and on going studies showing that it is possible to have evolved, and if you say fossils are here to test my faith, then why would one want to believe in such a malicious God anyway? Someone show me some proof of Creationism.

The lack of evidence usually comes from suspicion. Usually there is a possible truth that gives way to lack of evidence. I see no possible truth here. If science has proved parts of the bible wrong, then what proves it right?

I apologize if my "essay" is side tracked, I just like to add ideas into the thought process.

I also have a theory that i would like intelligent (read: gullible) people to believe in. Its called give me money. Theres no catch, only the theory that if everyone in the world gives me a dollar, then I will be a billionaire (6.5 billionarie). ill write a book about it if someone wants to take it as proof. Theres also scientific(i.e. statistical and mathematical) evidence to back me up. So basically, everyone should believe in my theory and give me a dollar because it is more solid than christianity as far as proof goes, and a little more solid than evolution. If you want a reason for how life was put on this earth, ill give you the true answer: both God and Evolution wanted you all to give me a dollar. satisfied?

Hmmm... How can you believe in the "Big Bang'? It would be like putting a bunch of parts it a bag, shaking them about and then opening the bag and finding a working radio? Highly unlikely right? Look at the earth... Everything fits together so perfectly and is so beautiful! What more proof could you ask for? If you appreciate Science then you'll know how well put together the World really is.Tell me... How could all of this be created on Accident??
As far as the Bible goes- Did you know that they found the Ark? ( which was written of in the Bible) They also found the Dead sea scrolls correct?
There is solid proof that Jesus Christ was on the earth and that he was a great teacher. And that he went to a horrible death on the cross by claiming to be the Son of God.(also in the Bible)
Now look at it this way... What kind of a person would claim to be the Son of God knowing that it would end in death. Either a major idiot or the Son of God. And don't you think an Idiot would bail out when they found out the punishment?(Death on the Cross) I don't think I would have that much "follow through".
So if you believe there is a Son of God then that means that there is a God. And doesn't it make more sense that the Earth would be created by God, and not by chance?

In point of fact, all Religions are Myth. You call it a Theory, yet it is not. Christianity is technically one of many Myths made up by Humans to explain how we got here and what we are supposed to do since we are here. Philosophy is another attempt to answer the second part of that question.
The difference between a Myth and a Religion is what you believe. If a person is willing to order their life according to a given set of ideas that to them is their Religion.
That Christianity or any other religion cannot be proved is a given. There are many Philosophies and Religions to be studied in the History of Humanity. Most of us choose one to live by and stop questioning it after a time. Some of us move from one to another until we find one that answers our questions and gives us meaning. If it has a Creation Story it is generally called a Religion. If not it qualifies as Philosophy.
The exception is Science. Because it is based, for the most part, on independently verified experiments it is said to reflect Reality (Shared Perception). However it does have a Creation Story (The Big Bang/ Evolution) and implications for Human Existence and Conduct (Psychology/ Sociology/ Political Science). Current advances in M Theory, String Theory, and Quantum Mechanics cannot be tested by experiment. These advances are also shedding a new light on our understanding of 'Reality'. It may not be as Objective and Static as we think.

Creationists love to toss that word "theory" around when they obviously don't know what it means. In science a theory is a tested work in progress... something that has stood up to scrutiny thus far but is not complete. For all intents and purposes a theory in science is fact. Creationists hear the word theory and think that it's some half baked idea that someone came up with.
Then of course there is the false dichotomy they set up saying that either evolution is true or creation is true... never any attention payed to the fact that they could both be equally false. Of course from there they speculate that since evolution still has some gaps and their myth doesn't that theirs is more valid or even make the jump to say that since there are gaps in evolution it is totally wrong... therefore they're right. The world just doesn't work that way.

Christians always believe they are right and that everybody else has not yet found the truth. Yet, when you ask them about specific events or stories in the Bible that do not make sense (Jonah & the whale, Noah & the ark, creation, etc.) they will tell you nobody fully knows God's ways. In others words, it is a polite way of saying, "I have no idea but I would still like it if you would let me cram this stuff down your throat."
Just watch a TV religious show on Sunday and see how people sit there and swallow everything that is being fed to them. Much of what is delivered is done so in the spirit of fear & intimidation by people who have this need to think that they are right.
As for the actual proof, there is none. A book is a book is a book -- regardless of when it was written or by whom. Every religion has its own source of writings and yet most religions disagree about various beliefs. That's what sets them all apart, and yet none of them can offer any PROOF of their beliefs.
And try talking to them on a reasonable level ... you might as well tell your cat to swim across the lake.

Sure religion is a theory.
So is all of science.
Darwin just likes to disagree with the rest of science. Other sciences say things decay, going from the complex to the simple. Radium gives off particles and eventually becomes lead. Darwin says life is different. It starts off as a single cell with simple DNA and with each generation adds cells and the DNA becomes more complex.
The natural result is that men will eventually become Gods. Future atheists will not be able to believe in themselves!
I don't say dinosaur bones were planted by Satan. I just say Darwin was wrong.
You'll get no more proof of Creationism theory than science has proof of any of its theories.

If evolution has proof ... where's the so-called "missing link?" You can't find the missing link because there is none. You see, that's the great thing about faith and belief in the Almighty. I read His Word and know it to be true. With all the Old Testament prophecies that came true, how can you doubt that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Actually, that you doubt the Word of God (the Bible) is Satan at work in you. And he delights in deceiving you. And from your diatribe his lies are clearly working. I pray that you will see the Light and accept Jesus before it's too late. God bless!

1 (of many) proofs that the Christian God is real:
God told his peole to march on Jericho and to destroy it. Jericho was a very powerful town and thought to be indestructable at the time. God said when they marched on it the walls would fall outward (not inward like it would happen if humans attacked it). When archeaologists found Jericho the walls had crumbeled outward and not inward as God had said it would.
Just as good if not better then what the fossils "prove."

http://www.onecountry.org/e102/e10214xs.htm I hope you are not a child asking this question. Philosophy can get really deep. Hope you can follow the path till the end. Personally I know that God exists through my own experiences with the Holy Spirit. I will not share them to be distorted and warped in any sense of the word. Happy reading if you dare.

Your assessment is correct. In answer to your question, which appears to be somewhat lost in your essay, it appears obvious that Christians do not know they believe in a theory, though calling what they believe a theory is much more generous than what their primitive belief system merits. And, even if some Christians realize that their faith is merely faith and not fact, it would appear highly unlikely that they would admit it.
