I am a British Citizen, my partner is Canadian.
We are marrying in Canada.
What i want to know, is whats the best option for us? Is it easier for us to live in Canada or the UK? We are both young, and students and don't have an excess of money. But we desperatly want to be able to live together. What suggestions are there for us?

Ive lived in canada and was married.
Myself i chose to live in Canada.
Canada's a socalist country, its culturally diffrent to UK,
I lived in Montreal,Quebec and myself i found it difficult as i felt i didnt have many people i could actuatly relate and bond with.
What with my broken french and thier broken English, i found freinships hard work at times.

But it is easier the younger you are.
Canada itself is a lovely country and you can find that, you can have a good standard of living for less money than here.I would recomend anyone going to Canada for a holiday for at least two weeks. The cost of fuel is lower. The weather changes can take some getting used to, but i didnt have a problem.
They seem to tax the crap out of everything including used parts from breakers yards!.
Sometimes i found their 'chilled out' attitude annoying...' relax, its only kids playing with your motorbike what harm can they do?'...'erm it can fall on them and crush them!!, it wieghs 420lbs!!' said I. Also this mothering culture can also be annoying( like roping school children into a long 'chain-gang')

If you want to know more just ask.
In the end its a personal choice, and i think if you move their you need to beware of the fact you might become home-sick if you become too alienated. So you need to intergrate and get part of the social comunity there , to build a good sence of belonging!.

The question is how do you intend to apply for a visa to move to Canada..myself i got married and applied under the couple bit.
Your wife may have to show that she can support you when you move to Canada for up to three years - i believe. my wife, she was studing to be a mining engineer, and i was accepted.
It took about a year as there was some delays in the processing, from filling in all the forms - to getther the letter of acceptance, visa .

I've never lived in Canada, but I have lived in the UK. As far as I can tell, immigrating to Canada is much easier. My experience with the British Immigration system is that it is very difficult to gain citizenship if you were not born there. To work in either country, you will need a work permit. If you have completed any school in Canada, it may be easier for you to obtain a work permit in Canada than vice versa. You will need to check with the embassies of each country to find out more.
Also, my experience is that Canada is much cheaper for living. The UK seems to be extremely expensive compared to other countries; however if you are earning a salary in pounds, the exchange rate will work in your favor when you are in other countries.
Well, hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

stay in Canada or both go to yankeeland that way it's a joint application from a married couple from Canada to the us of a, I'm in the UK Yankee land after your studies might be the land of opportunity for you you can always move again if need be - it's the 21 century emigrate to wherever you can both get jobs - you dont have to stay in canada or come back to the uk

i would prefer the uk, but only if you got opportunities in the central london area. cause this and new york city are the capital cities of world.

canada is very beautiful and full of economic opportunities, but a little boring - just as there is so much space.

I would say not to take the "easiest" option per-se.
Go with your heart, pick which you like the best, and then go all out to live there no matter what it takes.
