I'd be taken aback a bit at first but i would be flattered i suppose. I care about everybody!!! especially someone who would have the courage to say that.

Well I wouldn't stop calling her in the first place. But if you ignored me later I'd want to know why so I'd pull you aside and ask "hey, how have you been? we haven't spoken for a while, is there anything wrong?".
But that's me.

So let's get this straight - you like this quy so much that you don't tell him in case you lose him even though you don't have him in the first place, and then having gone through this procedure you decide not to speak to him any longer because he wasn't speaking to you?
I think you need to start with being more open and honest with the guy, he's probably not a mind-reader...

That would depend on if I was attracted to her or not but if I cared about her before It wouldn't change that i cared about her after she told me she cared about me.
If you care about someone you don't ignore them you ask about the things that the other person is doing that concerns you.Like "Why haven't you called me or text me since I told you I cared about you. "
That way you can develop a real relationship..

first of all. her having feelings for you. is a normal thing. she was afraid of being rejected by you. by letting her feelings known. if on the other hand your feelings are just as friends then you need to be gentle,caring,understanding. with her. after all it was a big step for her to let her feelings out. if you reject or rejected her feelings. what she would do is strike out at you because she was rejected and you've hurt her feelings. emotions are very sensitive. becareful for her. ok
