There are so many kinds of cancer, it would be impractical to ask your doctor to test you for all of them. With cancer in your family's history, it would be a good idea to watch carefully for signs. (women can examine their breasts regularly, look for growths on the skin) You can also, like many, here, have pointed out, watch you health carefully, eat properly and minimize the risks.
Cancer may not be genetically inherited, but the trait for susceptability may be. So, be safe.
(Note to "mujareh" A "genital" type of cancer is like Lance Armstrong's testicular cancer. A genetic disease is one passed on through family lines._

Some families are predisposed to Cancer,so it is good to be cautious of any telltale signs.I don't think right now you have to be tested, but just do monthly check-ups on yourself and make sure no moles or lumps have appeared or anything like that.If you are a woman(Sorry I don't remember your avatar)do your monthly self breast exams and check for lumps as well.Other than that, not much else you can do.

I don't think that cancer is a genital disease, but more of how someone has been treating their body as they lived. But it never hurts to get tested, because getting treatment ASAP is very important, especially when it comes to diseases like cancer.

I think it all depends on your family history and if cancer is prevalent in your family, if it is - then dependent upon your age and for your own peace of mind then you should consider genetic testing.
