Of course you did the right thing. You should be proud of yourself. Beating your kids is wrong, it diminishes their self-confidence.
Now just think, he's not the only one that this is being done to. Some kids face the same dangers but even more so. Some parents beat their kids so much that they rupture arteries and kill them. Everyone should pray for these children, because in all honesty that's what they are...children.

They need a voice...and people like you are their cry out loud.

I am very proud of you. I would have done the same thing. That phone call could have been the only thing that might have saved that child's life. I would have called the police right there infront of her and if I had a camera phone, I would have taken her picture while she is hitting the child. Because you said something, even though she told you to mind your own business, she will think about you and realize that there are people who are paying attention to what she is doing and if something happens to that child, those people will tell it all. Don't ever stop doing what you did just because she said for you to mind your own business. God will always bless you for your good deeds. I am truly proud of you.

If she truly was beating her child until he could not breath then yes, calling the police was the right thing to do. However, if she was smacking the kid on the behind, that is not considered beating the crap out of someone that is considered discipline.

She probably beat him more because you said something... it's a sad truth that they blame the kids instead of themselves for not parenting and teaching the child.

Were you in Wal Mart?

No, if she was beating him for just touching something (for no reason) then just think about he probably gets that all the time for no reason. You did good most people would have not said anything and just went about their day.

You absolutely did the right thing!! You probably did better than what I would have done. In the long run, you might have saved that child's life...

No. You saw an injustice- & you tried to do something about it. It's all any of us can do. It's the least any of us SHOULD do. I hope that woman gets some help. She needs it.
