Congrats on your puppy! I am proud mom of 3 chocolate labs... mother, father and baby. Kokomo, Kobi ,and Moka Mae. Remember they like to chew a lot for the first few months.. enjoy.

make it original. the vet is probably tired of hearing about chocolate labs named something about chocolate.
How about a name that you've heard and thought it was adorable.
I think Bama is a cute name or Wrapper? like a chocolate bar wrapper?

Please, please not Hersey. Every chocolate lab is named that.
I really suggest waiting until you have your pup. Get to know him/her and then decide on an appropriate name.
Personally Iike Real names - people names. For ideas you can go to the SSN website. I like the less used ones from the early 1900s. http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

Please do not name it Hershey, Cocoa, KoKo or any variation on the Chocolate theme.... those names are so tired!
If you had to use something about chocolate use something like Godiva, Dutch or something a bit more creative.
