You can only truly worship God if you are sincere in your heart. Just deciding that you are going to believe in Him is not enough! You need to do your own searching and decide for yourself what you believe! Good luck and God bless!

No, its not. I don't know what sort of god you would like, but we worship God because he is our heavenly Father, and he loves us. We worship God because we chose to follow Christ. I'm probably not the best person to talk to on the matters of religion, since I have had my doubts as to weather or not God exists, But when I look at the world around me, the stars in the sky, the forests, and the accomplishments of man I can't help but think that SOME ONE had to make all this, its more than a cosmic soup.
I'm what you would call an Old-Earth creationist. I think the "seven day" creation story doesn't actually have seven 24- hour periods, but simply represent stages in the creation of Earth that pretty much square with what science has found.
Finding a personal relationship with God can complete you in in a way you never imagined. However, no one can force you to believe anything.

IF you decide to accept the existence of a Supreme Being, it would be your choice how you viewed such a Being.
The existence of a Supreme being can be shown both scientifically and logically.
But what that Being is like is another kettle of fish.
I mean, does the Being like sushi? Is the Being up for Friday Night high-school football in central Texas? Does He/She embarrass their friends by belching in church? Does He/She prefer lobster or filet mignon, or corny dogs with onion rings? Is this a loving Being who interacts on some level with creation or One who just started the show and then went to the lobby for popcorn?
That's where revelation comes in. And there's plenty of stuff calling itself revelation. So where do you go? Easy. Look around you at nature and at your fellow human beings and at yourself. See what it's all like. Then decide to make an a priori assumption: ie that all of creation is in one way or another, made in the Being's image.
After that, you'll have questions. E-mail me. That's what I do, answer theological questions.

How can you possibly believe in a God you don't believe in ? Why should you want to? When you do feel the urge, then is the time. I can't imagine Christ forcing religion on anyone.

According to the really hard-core Christians, yes. But according to open-minded Christians who allow others to believe what they want to believe, no. Worship whomever you want and enjoy!

Nope. You can only believe in what you believe in. It cannot be half- hearted. By saying this, you are saying that God is stupid and can't know your heart. That's not true. Just be real.

The God I know wants us to love Him, love others as you would yourself, that means don't harm anyone and respect others right? That is the will of God and if you want more He will see that and the rest will fall into place. Live abd love life!!!

you can't just choose to believe.. you have to ACTUALLY believe, or else it doesn't count. (same goes for people who call themselves Christians, but they don't really believe).
