There are a lot of things you can do from home. You could watch a child for someone else, run an add to do laundry and ironing, make crafts to sell, or cook meals for people to pick up on their way home from work. Staying at home and being a full time mother is a hard job especially with two the ages your's will be but just use your head and any skills that you have and you can make it.

Hi!
I work full-time and have a 3 year old daughter and am always trying to come up with ideas to make some extra money on the weekends or evenings. I understand what you mean when a budget is tight. I really admire your decision to be a stay at home mom.
I would suggest maybe looking for a nanny position, maybe start a group at your house watching children a few days a week.
Post a job wanted ad on your community website. I did that and I edit books sometimes at home for extra cash. Hope this helps just a little :)

i am a stay at home mom also. I was looking for some kind of job for the longest time so that i could bring in a little income but still stay home with my daughter. i found almost everything online to be a gimmick. Then i found Mary Kay, im sure youve heard the name before. There are no quotas on what you have to sell, you are your own boss and you make your own hours. And its not a door to door thing unless if you want it to be. You start out by paying $100 and you get a LOT of stuff from Mary Kay. You get more than your monies worth on the starter kit. plus enough product to do 30 facials, which is how you would get customers, by having them try it. if you are interested, email me and i can give you more details. it is such a great opportunity.

Are you familiar with BeautiControl? It a great company to be a part of. It's pretty easy to make 1000 a month doing only 2-4 parties a month and they only last up to 2 hrs, depending on how much fun you have. You have complete freedom to do whatever you want with the business. You should look up a consultant in you area. (We do spa relaxation parties) She'll do a spa party for you and friends and family, and they're so much fun. if you don't like it, you didn't lose anything. but if you do, and you join, you have so much to gain. i can give you lots more info. also, we have a magazine out that you can get at most bookstores. It's called Empowering Women. read all about it. its the ultimate business for stay at home moms.

Have you ever thought about starting your own daycare? If you enjoy children, this could be the solution. Yes, it is hard work, but your children get to stay home with you everyday and have daily playmates. You also get to be a positive influence in someone else's child's life. There are a lot of pros and cons about it that you would need to discuss as a family before you decide, plus you would have to find out your state's requirements for a license.

Discovery Toys! You can make money and enjoy a lifetime discount on quality educational toys for your own children! In the first 3 months you have the opurtunity to earn free toys, buisness supplies and monetary bonuses including the price of your starting kit back, all while earning your regular commision
($99 dollars, but you need only put $25 down if paid with a credit card! Youget 11 toys valued at $241 and some starting buisness supplies) E-mail me and i can give you the full details, and my buisness phone number if your interested!
I loooooove selling these toys, i have met so many great people through this and my duaghter loves playing with the toys. She can play with the same toys that i use as inventory, and relatives and friends i have done parties for request that i bring her with, (normally i do a party in the evening or on a weekend and she stays home with her daddy) i can schedule parties whenever i feel like it, as often or as little as i want and each party only runs an average of 2 hours (i've heard of women who do super speedy parties, especially in summer, that last 45 minutes or less!) So for me it's a no lose situation, and i even have a full time night shift job as well!
There is also opurtunity to move up in ranks and make monthly bonuses, but you don't HAVE to pursue that route if you don't want. you can have as few parties as you want. Many people buy the kit just becuase they do alot of babysitting or have grandkids of all ages and the kids play with the toys in the kit when they are over and grandmom or Auntie gets to buy them christmas presents on a nice discount but never throws a party ever! Also a great idea for day cares and preschools to keep the kit in the classroom-speaking of which your non-profit orginization can host a "toy raiser" to get free toys for the classroom too. Anyone else interested hit me up for some information!
Oh, and did i mention that it is coming up on our fall season?! This is when all the new toys come out for christmas and most consultants find themselves booking muuch more parties and doing more buisness than usual (all those hostesses want to earn free toys for christmas!)
Perfect time for you to join Discovery Toys! And if you don't want to join, thats understandable but then you might want to think about hosting a party to get free toys for your kids!
sorry if this sounded pushy, trust me, i'm not trying to be, this just sounds perfect for your situation and i love sharing this opurtunity with everybody!

I do the same, I sell Southern Living at HOME. Basically, it is the merchandise you see in the Southern Living magazines.
You get a 25% commission right away, there are no minimum sales requirements to meet and there is always a support group to help with any kind of question. I plan on taking my baby once it is born and have known many women to take their infant to parties. It helps with sales! Everyone loves a baby.
I have tried the mystery shopper, and there isn't much money in it. You do, however, have to do a lot in terms of "training" and reports.

I'd say selling on ebay. Go to yardsales and pick up stuff to sell. I personally don't do this, so I don't have tips. But with some research i'm sure you could make some extra dough.
