It's not so much that it's five years, it depends on the maturity level. An 18 and 23 year old dating is completely different than 30 and 35 year olds dating, even though it's both five years. Out of personal experience, I was a completely different person when I was 18 then when I was 23. I thought I "knew everything", but there was a lot to be learned about life and love.

No, I don't think so. I am a 20 yr old girl who is dating a 26 yr old guy and neither one of us has a problem with the age gap at all. I think it depends on the maturity of both parties involved. If either one is really immature, then you may have a problem. But as long as they are both mature enough to deal with the age gap, there should be no problems.

It might seem like it at that age, because some people consider 18 young and 23 is an adult. But I agree with others 5 years is nothing, when he is 35 and she is 30 no one will care.

No because she is legal and age is nothing but a number. If you guys are happy then that is all that matters. I am 18 and I was dating a 26 year old so I think that there is nothing wrong with it.
Best of Luck!

no longer see you later as you're prepared for her to regulate a set contained in the subsequent few years, and are prepared to placed up with the imaturity and bs. You didnt provide an evidence of your circumstances yet listed less than are some examples: you've a try in college you would possibly want to cram for all weekend and he or she receives pissed because she needs you to go back to an 18 and older club which includes her freinds. you're busy at artwork attempting to fulfill a time reduce and your cellular telephone is beeping each and every 5 minutes with a textual content messege talking about some girly woman bs you dont care about. once you tell her you're busy, your telephone than earrings which includes her asking why you dont have time for her. She turns 21 and right now needs to pass get inebriated each and every weekend which includes her freinds, that you arent into. She expects you to look after her like her daddy did, rather of being a mature lady who can look after little issues herself without wanting you to do it for her. so see you later as you want to flow by all that which includes her its legal.. so its no longer a huge deal.

AGE IS RELATIVE. SOME 25 YEAR OLDS ACT LIKE 15 YEAR OLDS AND SOME 15 YEAR OLDS ACT LIKE THEY'RE 25. ONLY THE TWO OF YOU CAN DECIDE IF THE MATURITY LEVEL IS PRESENT FOR BOTH PARTIES. BUT REALIZE THAT MOST 18 YEAR OLDS AREN'T LOOKING FOR SERIOUS COMMITMENT. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WERE DOING WHEN YOU WERE 18. WERE YOU SOWING WILD OATS, OR WERE YOU GETTING READY TO SETTLE IN? REMEMBER THAT WHEN YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT THE SERIOUSNESS OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP. BE HONEST WITH HER, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF.
