The most famous typing program is Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor. It's been around for years and has helped so many people, including myself, to type with confidence. You might want to go to the following sites. One is the official website for Mavis Beacon. The others are sites that offer free on line typing tutorials. Good luck with your search.

Many years ago, I used an early version of "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" and enjoyed it. Some of the reviews of newer versions seem to indicate that it is a bit buggy these days, though.

We have been enjoying "Garfield Typing Pal Deluxe". It's designed for kids, but adults can use it, too.

Check out the software titles at amazon.com and read the customer reviews to find out if there is one that suits your tastes.
