I have been starting off with one or two drinks of Malibu spiced rum and pineapple juice and going to shots of buttery nipple. Even with 7-8 drinks I'm still not really feeling drunk. What may do the job a quicker so I'm not spending so much money on try to get drunk??

Shots of hard liquor, skip the juice. It sounds like your tolerance is up, and that's why you're not feeling the effects of the alcohol. The best way I know to combat that is to stop drinking for a few weeks, maybe a month, then when you start drinking again, you'll totally feel it!

At one point, I was drinking 8 martinis on a weekend night, and just feeling buzzed. I stopped drinking for a month or so, and when I started again, I could only have 2 or 3 before feeling really drunk.

Even better, the last time I stopped drinking martinis, I never started again. I'm done. :)

But good luck with whatever you do; hope this info helps. :)

... First off please tell me you are a women... Cause no straight man on the planet drinks the drinks you just mentioned... Unless he is trying to get some underage girl drunk at the bar and the only way he knows how to is to drink little girl drinks with her...
Now that that is out of the way... I have a rule of thumb... If your drink comes with a straw or a garnish leave it on the bar... The only thing that is allowed in a Man's drink is ICE and the fluid from one bottle and one bottle only(You pick the bottle)... And you are allowed to have maybe an Olive or two in it... That's it... Nothing else. Thrust me... Three or four of these will mess you up more then any umbrella drink on the planet... And your friends wont laugh at you behind your back.

Wow you have bad friends...:-) They should know this! You are drinking total crap. Way too much sugar and virtually the lowest alcohol content possible. Long Island Iced Tea is almost pure alcohol, and red or amber colored beers are often strong. Martinis are also pure alcohol (not the flavored ones).

I think you need to develop a taste for quality drinks before worrying about how many of them to have. If getting drunk is the goal, that is a lame waste of $$$. Why not have friends over for cocktail night, and everyone makes something different and not full of sugar.

I drink Absolute and Soda water and get to buzzing after a couple of doubles, but then again, I go to the same place all the time and they hook my drinks up now ;)

The real question is: How long does it take you to drink 7-8 drinks? If you're not getting drunk, pick up the pace. Simple as that.

Gin and tonic
Long Island Iced Tea

By the way, buttery nipple shots have very little alcohol in them.

Forget the mixed drinks and go straight for the hard stuff, like whiskey. It's hard to get it down at first, but soon you forget how to drink in the first place so it wont matter. Have fun and drink responsibly.

Best wishes.
