I used to be one of those people until some one spoke up and got help for me. I am alive because of them. Tell tht person to get help and if tht doesnt work tell some one else in higher authority.

That's a tough one. Bear in mind that this person telling you is in a very unstable and vulnerable state of mind. Any provocative answer given to him/her will cause a tragic reaction in this person. If given unto me, i'll first be empathetic towards how this person feels and to know exactly why they dont want to be part of this world. I'll try using some psychological aspect to get indepth of what they honestly feel about existence, meaning of life, guilt, forgiveness, love and chances of being there for somebody. It's useful to let them know that leaving this world is not a solution to a problem but we need to search for inner strength to overcome this fear. Leaving this world is selfish, many people out there are still fighting for survival. Let this person start searching for the meaning of life. Bring the wholeness of psychological aspect into it. I'll try my best to be with this person as much as possible to get out from this dilemma but never ever spoil him/her by being too dependant on you to make decisions. They have an ultimate responsibility to be responsible for themselves. Never provoke their anger, they're most sensitive now. Try walking with them, in their shoes, realise the meaning of being part of this world and remember, if you believe in God, bear in mind that you only live once. This is an obstacle of trust and faith in God that we need to overcome, it's a test and to prove that nothing is not forgiven in the sight of God. Hope this helps.

i have not been told this by anyone. but if someone did tell me that they were suicidal or homicidal, i would ask for help. you need to let a family member and/or a doctor know this. if they are homicidal, you may want to let the police know this. your friend should see a psychiatrist NOW. even if your friend gets mad at you for calling for help, it is ok. you are saving their life and that is more important than them getting mad at you for some time.

they should be directed to a professional, if they won't go in then they may need to be assisted. Bring the help to them or them to the help. If by chance you need assistance, please get some. Depression is easily treatable and you can feel what other people take for granted daily.
