It's only natural to be overly critical of yourself. Sometimes more so than others. It's something that you're personally going to have to learn to deal with and more importantly learn to not do quite so harshly.

Sit down and think of all the good things that you've done or can do. It may seem like a very little amount, but you've got to start somewhere. When a neg. thought comes to you, follow it by thinking of that good thing. Then do something good for someone else. Like pick up a newspaper and bring to the Old neighbor's door. Give some spare change to the begger on the corner. Say thank you to the cashier. Leave a big tip for the waiteress. Call a down-and-out friend and encourage them. Make stuff up if you have to. Get out of your negative rutt. Its very damaging to you and people around you.

Good luck man.
You can do it--I did.

Focus on the things that you like about yourself and then try to improve the things that you don't. Remember no one is perfect and everyone has insecurities. For example, J-Lo doesn't like her ankles.

I hope I helped.
