What if you happen to be a stupid, annoying, self-centered bastard and no one likes you for being who you are? Shouldn't you try to change yourself?

Yes, you should. First of all you need to be around people who are going to tell you these things. Most people do not tell people the truth about their bad personality tendencies. They just let them go or talk about them behind your back. It is always best to be honest with each other so we can improve ourselves.

No I would Suggest that you pray and Ask Jesus if what you are feeling aligns with what He knows to be true, or contemplate whether or not you are being overly critical on yourself, and ask him how He Sees you, and find out through His Divine understanding and leadership what? if at all it is that needs Changed. and/or Take a momemt to think about who it is that you are hanging around. If They like you for who you are and if they think you're annoying then there would maybe be a problem, If these people of whom you are hanging out with are there because you do, or have certain things and they think you're annoying then you need new friends.
For behavior and attitudes Cannot be changed by yourself and on your own. A Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ, A Firm Reading and Understanding The Scriptures would direct you to the right frame of mind and educate you on how He created you and what plans He's made for you. For He Clearly States that He created you Fearfully and Wonderfully, & With a Plan, Hope and A Future, And That He Loved you enough to Send His Son To Die for you, (and me) (And The Rest of Mankind, Past, Present, & Future) Pretty Heavy Huh? Yeah It's Pretty Cool! So He Loves you and Well even if you were annoying the people who love you and like being close to you will no doubt be happy to over look those weaknesses and enjoy and encourage your Strenghts. May The Peace Of Christ be your strength.

Be Yourself, No Matter What.

You are the best you that you can be. Nobody else could be a better you. If one happens to be stupid, learn more, ask more- stupidity has a cure (in many cases). Most important is to like yourself, because eventually and ultimately it's you that you must live with and answer to.

If its not broken, don't fix it.

You can't be everything to everybody. So be everything to somebody.

You can't change the perception of others.

Not for others but for myself.. obviously your not self centered or stupid cause if u were then u wouldnt be asking this question... if u know whats right and whats rong then u'll be fine. Do what u need to do..

It sounds like you don't like yourself. Some how you need to do what you have to do to learn to like yourself. Until you like yourself no one else will like you. Find a good counselor to talk to. I'm wondering do you have some deep issues that you can't get over. Hope that day will come soon when you like your self and when you wake up every morning you can say. " I love life".

Well then why not reinvent your self as a smart, interesting, giving, loving person and show them you have changed. Most times we live up to or down to our own and the worlds expectations.Just raise your own levels . There is never anything wrong with changing something for the better . good luck if you are serious..

Man, you sound like you don't like yourself and you want to change. Try counseling. When you start liking yourself, others will like you the way you are - and you can be yourself. If you don't even like you, how can others like you?

"Yourself" it´s not just something you are, it´s something you construct, you build with the choices of your life.

So, is you are stupid, annoying, etc, its not that you should quit being who you are, you just have to begging making new decisions, giving yourself a chance to do things in a different more fulfilling way.
