What confuses me is, of the relationships I've been in where I've strived to build an aura of romance, never forgetting important dates, randomly bringing home flowers, even setting up rooms with candles, music, etc... to surprise my partner, and always putting her needs first, and holding her physical and emotional satisfaction (I never once finished first or rolled over and went to sleep) in the highest regard, it never seemed to be enough. I can't tell you how many times I heard the same line, "I just don't know how to handle being treated so nicely. All my boyfriends were jerks and treated me badly. I'm just not used to this." as they were heading out the door to go back to some abusive, inconsiderate, clueless ******. A few even married guys like this, knowing what they were like. WHY? If so many of you want romance so badly (AND I KNOW NOT ALL OF U ARE ALIKE) , why do you run from it when it hits you right over the head?

I guess it is that nice guys really do finish last. I mean every girl wants to be treated like a princess. But which will she choose when she has her knight on a white horse or her bad boy on a harley? Some will take the bad boy because its more of a challenge. It's more "manly" rather then someone who is ultra sensitive and romantic. No girl wants a ultra-mushy guy but then complains when her macho man doesn't fit the bill either. It's one of lifes great mysteries....

It's like you can't give a woman candy all the time or she will grow tired of it. Honestly women enjoy a lil pain in a relationship, she has to be diggen the highs and the lows. They need to be on that emotional rollercoaster. When you start coming off as Puppies and Icecream she may get turned off becasue thats not what women need all the time. Sometimes they need us to just watch the Game and get drunk and be not listen to what they are saying. It's a trip man, you got half of the game down pact you just got to get your badd assness developed and you will be golden. Remember it's a ONE MAN SHOW and she can be a part of it or Peace out. This way she has to prove herself to you. Don't lose your edgyness woman don't want a man she can push around. Somtimes they want to be told No your not Going anywhere, so sit down and chilll out. I love romance but don't get it as often as I deserve. A lot of women are afraid of change so they may not want to be romanced if they are not used to it (which I think is so dumb). Just don't change because you will make a wonderful husband someday and you will be with someone that you deserve and that deserves you.

wow thats sounds so like my situation! My boy is like that, im not used to compliments and dont know how to respond to all the romantic things he does except for thank you. Maybe its just that guys so romantic seem to good to be true and theres always that feeling that their hiding something.

Dude welcome to the world of female insecurity. I've gone through the same with women myself and it sucks. There are a lot of women out ther ethat really do like that type of thing but they are rare.
