My sister has a comfortor with deep browns and greens in it and there are small tiny specks of light blue; I think it was from Strawbridges, but they are out of business now. I think if you did a brown theme, it would match the walls nicely.

I think you should just try to put your imagination on a peace of paper. LIke, make a light blue shades in a big huge bond parer, ( use any kinds of coloring you have). Then try to draw a bed in the middle, combine this 3 colors, Turquoise,Fusshia pink, yellow. THe outside color of your comforter can be Navy blue, Then when you fold it at the upper head, The 3 bright colors exposed in stripe. Bed sheets can be just plain color, either yellow or Fusshia pink. Hang some paints that goes along with the colors. Good luck;) Enjoy your first decorating experiment;)

A print or plaid including sky blue would be nice. Or possibly a Navy comfortor and window dressing in the same navyand snow white sheets. Then you could use sky blue throw pillows and a print rug with these colors.

You'd be better off trying to find a matching rug and comforter in some really bold colors, without a lot of the light blue. You want your room to bring out that color in its surroundings (meaning the room is the focal point). Lots of colors, minimum on the light blue. that's just how you want it to all tie together. hope that helps some and good luck!

That's a nice choice, but make sure your sheet are sky blue like the pic. If you chose this color of comforter orange - do like they did use orange rug. use orange, sky blue and red accents around your room. like your lamp, pillows, window treatment. do not over do it with patterns. the bed already have patterns try to make the other stuff plain single coler. l don't quite like the window treatment in the pic, it too busy. The trick is pull colors from your bed covers, not your wall color.

Go RETRO!
Actually with a sky blue background and big brown circles with hot pink accents it would look great. for instance get some brown curtains and cut out skyblue dots and sew them on or use that iron on backing to attach. Then place smaller hot pink dots here and there on the curtains. to coordinate. get brown sheets and up at the top of the sheet where its folded over, sew about 2 inches down and use the bottom for rod pocket drapes, leaving a 2 inch header. you can also buy the same color brown and blue and hot pink to create your own comforter cover for your bed and make accent pillows, go wild with shapes. but I believe the browns with hot pinks are great. Here is a couple websites to show the combo of colors I mean.
cut out big flowers for the curtains in blue and pink, use the shape like these flowers on this page.

get creative, try some very glittery hot pink material for accent pillows or circles on drapes. heck paint brown and pink circles on the walls. get hot pink fuzzy rug.
heres how the color combo looks I did up a sample for you.

I think you should get just a plain navy blue comforter -- it would be the only thing really to go with sky blue.
DO NOT GET THE ONE YOU PICKED OUT! I thought about a white down comforter with the sky blue. It offers a nice contrast. Cute!

Take a look at these. Anyways it depends on whether you like contrast or you want to stay in the same color range.

I like the blue, purple and green one with the star on it (the bolster pillow). Do they have that print in a comforter?
