Right O... It is so very important to always keep communication open with your dad, even when you feel he is ignoring you.

I would most definitely make a "Daddy daughter date"... where it is just the 2 of you, doing what ever it is you both enjoy... and at one point during the day, may be over lunch/dinner... tell him how you have been feeling.

Trust me, as a dad, there is nothing like "daddy's little girl".... He will listen....and hopefully you will begin to feel better as the both of you learn to communicate better with each other.

Lots of luck...

Often times parents don't realize that they are overlooking a child's achievements because they have come to expect it from them. It is a mistake lots of parents don't realize they make. When the 'good' child always does right the parent forgets to tell them how appreciative they are. I bet your Dad brags about you to others. Sit him down and let him know how you feel, I think he will be surprised to realize he does not express those thought to you. Good Luck

Tell him how it makes you feel and ask him why he is treating you like that. Communication is the key. He will never know unless you explain to him what the problem is.

Tell him how you feel. It is nothing more than the fact that you are the girls and they are the boys Old cliche but true. Exolain to him how it makes you feel.
