Two things actually.

I went on Atkins, so I cut out sugar and grains and went to fresh, whole foods instead of prepackaged crap. As a result I'm not as hungry and I feel full faster. I'm not having cravings anymore. It makes it much easier to stick to the plan.

I finally made the mental shift from thinking in terms of "diet" to "lifestyle". I am no longer on a diet, I'm not looking to the end of it. I'm eating in a way which I believe is healthiest for my body and I intend to eat this way forever. The weight loss is sporadic, but it does keep going down, I figure if I keep doing this my body will eventually settle at the weight where it should be.

Okay, a third: I'm learning to listen to my body, eat when I'm hungry (but not when I just "feel like" eating), stop when I'm satisfied (but not stuffed).

I joined weight watchers and I jot down everything I eat. This has helped me keep an eye on how much I have eaten and how much I have to complete my points for the day. I used to be a snacker but with this system I have dramatically improved my overall eating habits.
