Kaps my friend anonymous names are for those who prefer to only give their name to those they trust over the internet.Plus there have been cases of stalkers tracking down people over the net so it kind of a precaution as well.

Two reasons for me:
the first is for safety, women need to be more careful then men on here anyway
the second is because it is fun to have a different name. I always loved the name Stormy Mariah

You adopt a Net Persona
A name you have always liked or wanted because you might not like your given name.
There is noting wrong with a Net nickname some of us just like renaming ourselves because it is possible. Don't limit your self to any one way of being.

People are just really worried about identity theft and women especially consider that there are stalkers out there and things like that.

jsu to hide their real identities n not to be caught if surfing some illegal site or anything tht they cant do in day light or in front of others
