why do cat jump in your face when you are sleeping?

Sounds like its trying to wake you up for some attention!!! My cat wakes me up EVERY MORNING by rattling the drapes over the sliding door. Its just a part of her routine. Try closing your bedroom door.

My cat will jump at me while I'm sleeping because he likes to attack my hair... which is usually on my face by the time morning rolls around.

Our cat will get up around 4 to 4:30 am and nip toes that are exposed. We had to start shutting the door. Then he runs out to the living room and bats at the blinds.

lol. My cat used to do that but got over it. She sees something moving undercovers and wonders what it is. Sort of like hunting. I put a stop to that by ignoring her or spraying her with watergun. Eventually she will get the message its you undercover.

Mine just wants attention. She tries to wake me up in the morning by first climbing on my chest and staring. If that doesn't work, she progresses to licking my nose and chin, rubbing her very cold/wet nose on mine. At this point I'm ignoring her as I want to sleep another 20 minutes. She finally resorts to grabbing my top with her teeth, pulling back and then letting go so it snaps back. "OK, OK, I'll rub your ears now...sheesh!"

Mine gets in my face when I am sleeping, once I pet him he gets down and goes to his bed. He just want to be loved.

my boy will jump in my face to wake me up so that we can fall back to sleep together. i lay on my side with my arm out. he lays on his side, puts his head on my arm and throws his leg up on my side. my boyfriend gets very jealous when he sees us. ha ha.
