Its normally the 3rd week in October - I think.
BUT ...............
They just broke up for 6 weeks for summer.
Let them get back to school first in September before you start worrying about October half term.

My Daughters Birthday always falls in half term, the 24th October. So it should start on the 23rd this year.

I dont think there is a single period for half term in England, different areas have different times for half term.
so it depends on where you live, might be worthwhile contacxting the school or LEA they should be able to give a definitive answer
