Dear Steve J,
church age is over! The Lord is not using the local churches to bring forth the Gospel any longer. The Bible seems to indicate that in 1988 the church age ended and the period called "The Great Tribulation" began. This period precedes the second coming of Christ (Judgement Day pr end of the world). Actually all those dar people who are remaining in the local churches are in the most dangerous place they could be. Why? Because there is absolutely no possibility of salvation there regardless of the faithfulness of the pastor. In the Great Tribulation, the Bible tells us that the Holy Ghost will depart from the local congregations and satan will be given authority over the churches (2 Thessalonians 2). The people who are in the churches do not realize it but they are now worshipping satan!
If you are hoping to be saved the best thing for you to do is to read your Bible and pray to the Lord to have mercy on you. The Lord is very merciful!! For further info see this website: www.familyradio.com. I hope this will help you.

What has religion got to do with it? Don't go to a narrow minded vision. Find like minded people and enjoy life. The church will only lead you astray.
If you have to seek religion go for the Muslim or Buddhist religions which are contrary to what a lot of people think, a lot more peace loving and tolerant!

Go to a Unitarian Universalist church. Really. And for Heaven's sake, stay away from ANY church proclaiming that it's "Bible-based." And stay away from fundamentalists of any kind -- a good test is to ask whether the Bible is infallible. If they say yes, run like hell.

There's nothing in your description that would lend itself to one particular denomination of Christianity over another. Why do you want to be surrounded by like minds? Challenge yourself by listening and fellowshiping with people who may or may not think the way you do.

Perhaps you would be comfortable in a Spiritualist or neo-pagan faith.

The church of South Park. We pray to our savior Kenny who died (you bastards!) for our sins. We serve pie and punch and eat cheesy poofs and kick each other in the nuts. Good Times!

church is not about fitting in, you can do that any other time, it is about worshiping God through every hard time. If it were up to me i would join a church were they let the holy ghost flow.
