And that differs from Christianity how?

Hinduism is a way of life not just a religion .
Strength of Hinduism lies in its most amazing ability to adapt to different circumstances and different ages while maintaining its very strong continuity with the past.
One of the most important statement came from the Rig Veda ,the very first book of Hindus is "Ekam Sat, Viprah Bahudha Vadanti" (sanskrit) –meaning "Truth is one but men describe it differently".
Hinduism is a symbol of tolerance to other religions and cultures. It never forbids anyone to question its fundamentals.

The Bhagavad Gita never commands anyone what to do; Instead it discusses pros and cons of every action and thought.

Hindus Believe in only one God and since in ancient times the lay men could not understand that concept, the Rishis wrote epics and mythological stories with many Gods with the concept that if u worship any God in any form you are worshiping only one God.One supreme being.
Hinduism has the good, the bad and also the ugly aspects in it like any other culture or religion in the world. We have to boldly face facts and eradicate the bad and the ugly aspects in our practise to better our lives.we have to seek the truth,to become a true Hindu .Nothing is completely good or completely bad.

The greatness of Hinduism can be summerized in few words. "Freedom of Thoughts and Actions." That is what Hinduism stands for.

All religions are full of false Gods. All deities are made up by humans. Yes, all of them. (including yours). What exactly is it that bugs you so much about Hinduism? There are almost a Billion Hindus around the world, so it must have some appeal.

Well, no one's going to tell you to respect anything you don't want to.
Depending on your religious beliefs, tolerance of other beliefs vary.
However, if you're a Christian, Jesus taught his followers the Golden Rule.
So therefore if you want people to respect your beliefs (which I'm not aware if you do) you should put forth some effort to respect others' beliefs.
Respecting and accepting are two different things, so if you respect another religion it doesn't mean that you have to accept their beliefs as your own.

Because it deserces the same respect as your lame a*s beliefs do.....After all, your religion is equally full of lies and a false God. All gods are false.

I think it is important to respect the individual Hindustani, but to not respect the religion. The individual has been trained to believe it, or has chosen that path for a reason. We have to respect his reasoning abilities and give him reasons that Hinduism is institutionalized mythology.

"Hate the sin not the sinner" as my old preacher used to say. :)

What makes any thing a lie or truth in anyone's religion or mythology? Be free to believe and follow whatever you wish and get off your high horse you don't have a crystal ball into what is the real truth, you might be as surprised as anyone as to what comes next!

Wow, that's kind of bigoted. I don't respect any religions, but I do respect the right of other people to make mistakes. That's the only reason religions still exist.

We can certainly respect people who believe in Hinduism -- even if we don't agree with their religion.
