I would say ER also. Grey's anatomy is mostly about drama. House has bizarre events, but it is still a good show. Scrubs is more about comedy. None of them are what I consider to be just like what it is in the emergency room or in a hospital period. The reality shows on TLC pretty much show you what it's like in the hospital.

None of them. ER? People are crazy. Name a REAL ER that has had:
-A Helicopter that wrecked in it and cut off the arm of a leading surgeon
-2 doctors stabbed and no one noticed for several hours because they were dancing and having a party; one died.
-An ambulance wreck through it
-A bunch of fireworks being set off in it.
-Multiple shootings
-Most doctors are young and good looking and dont' look tired.
-A doctor that left a patient during an emergency and drugged themselves with patient meds but got their job backs at the same place.
ER has become a joke. All of the other shows are worse. If it was real life it wouldn't be popular because there's a lot more work and less drama. It's scary that people think what they see on TV is real life. Even reality shows are somewhat scripted.

Scrubs is incredibly incorrect, but hysterically entertaining - one of my favorite shows.
Grey's Anatomy...well, I watched it once and something really turned me off on it. Can't remember what it was, but swore I'd never watch it again.
ER has always been probably the most accurate of all medical shows I've seen. Just cut out all the relationship crap and get back to the medicine and I'll be interested.
Personally, I like House. The deductions and diagnoses are awesome. And, Dr. House gets to say all of the smarta$$ things I want to say to my patients, but can't.

In my opinion it is ER. It was created by the wonderful writer Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, Disclosure, etc.) who also happens to be an Emergency Room Medical Doctor. He serves as Executive Producer and Consultant. His intention was to make it as close to real ER without the boring lulls and daily grind of the real ER.
P.S. I wish it were House, the most entertaining medical drama, just not real to life.

I am an MD. I believe ER is the closest to real life, but like all TV shows, it over-dramatizes everything just to keep it interesting. Real life medicine can be very boring and routine, just like any other job in life, but who wants to watch that?

I am guessing that its E.R because that show has tons of real life things that go on ( in the hospital) . You get to see blood and suffering. But another very true show is "The untold stories of the E.R" on the discovery health chanel. That show is probably the closest!

None of then. They are like cop shows - over hyped to make them interesting.
