where can i find a growth chart or how to figure how tall my son will be when he is 18?

The "standard" growth charts are available at http://www.cdc.gov/growthcharts/.

However, these charts are based on population averages. That means you cannot measure the height of a 2 year old today and know with any certainty how tall he/she will be at 18. If you measure a 16-year old, you have a better shot at determining height at 18. Puberty is the big mystery - it is so variable for different people, it can throw off your estimate.

Will predict height of healthy girls 8-16 yrs. and boys 9-18 within a couple of inches.

Put in the gender of the child/ birthdate/ height/ weight/ and sitting height. To get the sitting height have child sit on a stool against a wall. Mark where top of head touches wall; measure distance from mark to floor. Subtract height of stool from that number to get sitting height.
