I went on a date with a guy I really cared about and hung out with a lot beforehand. He acted like he really REALLY liked me and he knew that I was shy and a little insecure before we went out..He al most drove me nuts wanting to go out. I fixed myself up nicely and tried to be SO nice and accommodating... I complimented him, talked about everything we both wanted to talk about, and even offered to pay half my dinner. The entire time he checked his watch and stared in the distance like I was annoying him or something. He didn't want to have fun or anything. Later he told me we weren't compatible. Why would a guy take a girl out that he knew really well and do this to her?

The truth is that this guy, beside being an introvert, he's just too shy in all ramifications of the word, especially being alone with a gurl like you (I can bet, it's the first time). If you really love him, you've got some works to do in re-shaping him to blend with you. You have to take the lead in your conversations (at least for now), as you can see that he's tongue-tied. Then, you have to come out with creative ideas about having fun. But in most cases, it's better displayed than said to catch him unawares sometimes. Otherwise, he may feel insecure and complex will definitely set in. But later on, if you can take the pain of doing this, he will so much trust you that he'll believe you in all things. Cheers!

Maybe he was trying to prove to himself that he is capable of taking any girl out......I'm sorry to say but guys like that one aren't worth it......He was looking at his watch all the time? That is just bad, and he let you pay for half the dinner? What a jackass, don't worry girl, you deserve better than that morron! There are plenty of nice and sweet guys out there, real gentlemen!! You deserve better, don't give up! But please ignore this loser, he's totally not worth it!! Good Luck

Maybe he was anxious about something but didn't feel close enough to tell you about it. Give him another chance, and when you meet, ask him directly. Don't mention all the things you did to make the date work, just say you were wondering why he seemed distracted.

Oh God...This sucks...
But guys are unpredictable...
The smallest thing may change their mind/views...
Maybe he realized you weren't a cheap lay (pardon my language)...
and that was what he was after..
you probably presented yourself as a prestigeous woman and he couldn't level up to you...
Many fish in the sea...

Maybe he had second thoughts but wasn't too sure until he went out with you. I dislike when people do that too you, toy with your emotions like your a puppet on strings. If he did that too you, you should never be friends with him again; he has no right too do that.

he could have very well been putting on a good front or he wasn't interested in the first place, it does happen alot to girls to women and even guys get that as well.

2 things..maybe he imagined things of who are, and when he realized this wasn't it...he simply didn't want to carry on, and some guys once they know it wont happen, they don't want to lead girls on cause then it only gets ugly. and the other frankly he thougth he could maybe get lucky..since you know each other and all.

oooh, ouch! probably likes you as just a friend, but had kind of a crush on you, but then realized that you should just be friends...sorry about that...and i REALLY hope it wasn't a dare like that one dude said, cause if it was that is just mean and you should not hang out with him if he did THAT to you.
