This was an answer to my previous question about what Creationists believe:

"Personally the whole evolution thing with the primates and the missing link just dont kame any sense.

People should stop monkeying around looking for "truth" just face facts. Some things arent ment to be answered by mere humans."

So ignorance is bliss then?

Nah..they just want to turn a faith-based matter (which by definition contains no fact to be proven or disproven) into FACT.

Think about it, Christianity rules its members by fear. Fear of hell, fear of Satan, fear of rejection at the doors of heaven, etc.. Everything they use to control their members is FEAR based. There is no FACT in any of it.

So...if you shoot holes in one psuedo fact, then it is all subject to doubt. If you create doubt, then the religion can't stand.

There are other religions that allow for freedom of thought and questioning, but Christianity isn't one of them (at least not the fundamental or more rigid factions).

They just can't figure out how faith based and fact can coexist.

The other day, a creationist (it might have been AztDonut again) said this:

"They already teach evolution, an aethiest topic that tells kids that they come from dust, in schools."

Seeing as how there is an 'alternate' story of the origin of species that suggest that people came from dust (and/or clay), I thought this was absolutely hilarious.

Almost as funny as the person who said that Jesus was born by 'immaculate contraception' (in correction of another person, no less...)

I love when Genesis creationists say evolution 'just don't make sense'. It's good to know who's got a good grip on the concept of 'sense' and who doesn't...

It's not ignorance. It's insightfulness. Some things man just cannot answer. There are absolutes and limits. Evolution is a joke. Darwin got a degree in THEOLOGY so he couldn't have known anything about science at that time. Lamark, who inspired Darwin to create evolution wrote a book on geology. However, Lamark was a LAWYER!

I noticed that one, too. That's a very poignant statement... "Some things aren't "ment" to be answered by mere humans"

This is the old attitude, that unfortunately, we're going to have to wait to die off. A couple generations from now, this type of thought will be laughable. But right now, this person is still voting, and making ignorant decisions, that we all have to deal with.

Amazing though, isn't it? This is a person that flat-out admits to being ignorant, and plans to stay that way...

If evolution and the whole big bank theory are true then why can't science explain on very simple and very crucial question?

How do you get life from no life?

If the big bang theory is true life must have started somewhere, but yet science has no evidence or no idea how to create life from no life. How can this be? Mabey an intelligent designer created life.

Actually, some of us think God created. We also think evolution occurred, because that's part of the whole thing. What we don't believe, at least I don't, is that man came from apes. There is no evidence to support this theory, meaning its nothing but theory, yet evolutionists pretend its fact. They seem to think we're nuts for believing in God, yet they put all their belief in an unproven theory. So while we believe in an unseen God, they believe in an unproven theory. So, hey, if you wanna believe in the mysterious "big bang", and unproven theory, its your right. But don't even pretend your "big bang" is not absolutely ridiculous, while you sit around making fun of us, cause let me tell you, "big bang" is one of the most ludicrous of all belief systems. Simple logic tells us everything has a beginning, with the exception of the "big bang", which apparently has no beginning point.

That is only one creationist.
Christians do believe in evolution where the Creator is God. A caterpillar turns into a butterfly ...but a monkey does not turn into a human.

I see the point.

Knowledge can be wonderful. Knowing how the body defends itself has led to vaccines. Knowing how bacteria can be destroyed has led to antibiotics. Knowing how silicon handles electrical current has led to computers. There are many examples.

But what would be the benefit to mankind of knowing whether God created creatures which then evolved from the complex to the simple which science tells us is the way of all nature; or whether He created creatures which evolved from the simple to the complex in defiance of his laws for the rest of his creation as Darwin has suggested?

No, Christians REALLY believe the literal truth of Genesis where God spoke all things into exitence.
Again , read the Bible and learn something , Pal. Quit making a fool of yourself and get a life!

Yes. To the Christian ignorance is bliss. Their book STARTS with the first sin being the acquisition of knowledge. And it's only downhill from there.
