I am moving into a new apartment where the previous tenant had a cat. He is getting the carpets cleaned but I wanted to know if there is anything else that i can do. Also can cat hair & dander be removed from a microfiber couch after having it cleaned. Thanks for your help!

arm and hammer has a powder you can put down on the carpet that releases the pet hair and you leave that down for like 15-20 mins and then vaccuum and that will help. arm and hammer also has a powder for allergen reducer that would help as well. I would suggest use the pet hair releaser and then the next day or so use the allergen reducer.

Steam cleaning the rugs and furniture will help. Don't forget to vaccuum (using one with a hepa filter) the walls, curtains, and anything else left by the former tenant. You can also get a spray that does a dicent job of taking the allergens out of the air, be sure to vaccuum afterward.

Use a damp (not wet) sponge mop. It will push the hair into a pile for you. Hope this helps.
