It's not normal for the father to be in the wedding party other than in the role of the father. He typically does not stand at the altar. It's usually the brother/best friend and the groomsmen are usually friends, relatives, bride's relatives, etc. Parents are not usually in the formal wedding party.

Usually it's the groom's best friend or brother but a lot of times a groom's father is his best friend! You should do whatever you want and whatever you feel is right. A lot of people want their fathers to play a part - and the bride's father usually gives her away but the groom's father doesn't always do something. It just depends on what you want. Good luck!

Bride and father "the lads in my Little female's existence" Mike Douglas (no longer the actor) wedding ceremony party, even with the certainty that. Bride and groom even with the certainty that their favort song is. I under no circumstances heard of a bride and brother dance, What about Groom and MIL and Bride and FIL? those DO take position as component to the "application" you also may have Bride/Father/Groom/mom dance and play "daybreak sundown" from Fiddler on the Roof"

The best man is anyone that the groom chooses. It could be his father, step father, brother, best friend, or for the new age it could be his sister or female friend....There are no set rules to who can be the best man....

It's who the groom wants -- could be anyone from a friend, brother, cousin, uncle, father, etc.. there are no rules to say who should stand in that position.

It can be any of those people. Whomever the Groom decides it should be. He can even choose a woman to be his Honor Attendant.
