In a crazy kind of way-yes. When Jesus performed the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead this set into motion the plot to have him killed. The Pharisee's and the chief priest's had a council soon after. They decided that Jesus should be put to death. Jesus was "ping ponged" back and forth from one court to another until he was brought before Pilate the governor. Pilate "passed the buck" so to speak, and let the crowd decide the fate of Jesus.

Dear Blessy-Sammy: This is a biblical story that has touched my heart all my life. Recently, I saw a depiction of that event in an old motion picture. It still has the same affect upon me.
1. "I raised the dead by knowing that life is an eternal attribute of everything that the living God created." Jesus works through the One Mind! Our minds are spirit - beyond our human thinking through the ego.
2. I asked Jesus about this, in communion, and he said that he always followed the instructions of the Holy Spirit perfectly in all situations. Therefore, how some great act was performed - it's timing, and all other aspects of the act were dependent on his instruction and you can believe they were structured for the most maximal impact on the people.
3. If Jesus had shown up in time to save Lazarus, he would have failed to demonstrate to us our Reality.
4. He wept, because a beloved brother had authored his own death. Our disasters, our illnesses are self-punishing. While we show the world our face of innocence! In our subconscious regions of the mind, lay our errors, uncorrected, that make us feel guilt. They accumulate when not addressed properly - until we expiate ourselves through illness or worse. We are our own worst judge and jury. Jesus would simply CORRECT our errors if we allowed him. But you have to have a relationship with him to have him active in your doings. You have to invite him in. . .without an invitation, Jesus will not interfere in your thinking.
5. Spirit-mind is as powerful as the power God flows through what He created! Every thought, every emotion, every action (from thought) has God's power flowing through it, for you can not see Him, but you are part of Him - made as Spirit like Him - and of Him. Therefore, be careful of what you think! The Father has no judgment mechanism in His spirit-mind. He does not judge your thoughts. Human's have it through the ego. Thoughts have power to manifest in this physical world. Guilt and self-condemnation causes - at some level - disharmony for you; either in the physical body or around you in the physical world.
Jesus wept - because he loved Lazarus and knew Lazarus should NOT have been ill and then "died." He also knew there is no real death. And, he wept for Martha and Mary - for he saw they understood nothing and blamed him. Then. . . the demonstration.
Behold!

I used to be real good at ping pong. Too bad Lazarus and his brother aren't in my area. I wouldn't mind playing a few games.
