if you are healthy and do not overdo it, every day can be OK, but if you are not used to it you may injure yourself and not be able to run at all and get discouraged.
so take it easy at first and do rest a day between runs for the first month or so then your muscles can recover and grow.
make a simple schedule and keep it. even if it is hard it is best. exercise your upper body on off days. then you have something to do each day and will not forget.
BUT...never let 3 days go by or you will relapse and have to start over on the running. it is easier to get out of shape than in shape

Every day is best. I pick a day on the weekend 2 rest sometimes or I would just walk the distance as I do not have 2 leave after 2 go 2 work. Most important though is 2 make sure that u wear very good jogger shoes with good cushiony soles 2 absorb the shock of your feet hitting the ground when u run.

With jogging, I think you can do it every day. It is recommended that you do cardio exercises in the morning when insulin levels are low to help burn fat. Muscle work-outs should be done every other day because the work-out breaks down the muscle and it needs time to rebuild itself, but I think cardio can be done every day. Something else I would recommend is a good hard bicycle ride or a good long swim. These are better on joints and provide good cardio exercise. If you do them hard enough and long enough, you can build stamina just the same. Also, drink a lot of water and eliminate any caffeinated and carbonated drinks if applicable. It's not the easiest thing to do, but it is water is much healthier for your body than any of those other drinks. Water helps with muscle endurance as well.

Run every day but don't push yourslef too hard. The whole resting thing applys with heavy exercises like weight lifting, where your muscles need time to build themselves up after a workout.

Well, then, better to run a half a mile a day than run a whole mile every two days if the latter means falling out of the habit.

Depends, stamina for what?
Generally, you can do cardio 5-6 days a week but you want to change it up.
Mon - Jog
Tues - Rope jump, Swim
Wed - Hi / Low sprints (jog 30 sec, sprint 30 sec..do for 30 min)
Thurs - Swim / Punching bag /
Fri - Jog

Run 5-6 days a week and if you feel like you're taking it too far then take a break. Maybe start every other and work your way up.

I run six days a week, at least five miles a day and have been for 12 years. You can eventually build up to it, your body will tell you.

Three times a week. Build up slowly. Do not over stress your body.
