Dude. Stop. You're trying to use LOGIC against people whose entire worldview has to DENY logic to work! When one is indoctrinated with the xian brainwashing silly things like FACTS that deny their sky marshal are ignored. Seriously, it's a waste of time for the most part, my friend.

There is one God, the living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The rest are idols--the invention of men. Yes, there was god and goddess worship in the Bible. It was a fact of life in those times. It was also condemned and not to be a part of those who would follow Jehovah. Did the ancient Jewish people ever worship idols? Yes, and God judged them for it.
"Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,'" Isaiah 46:9-10
Through the vehicle of prophecy, God throws down the gauntlet to all the other "holy books" and all the other "gods" that dare to claim the title. The God of the Bible challenged in Isaiah 41:22-23,
"Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; yes, do good or do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together."
There is no redundant prophecy in the Qu'ran or other holy book out there. Only the Bible proves its Authorship is from the eternal. We can be as politically correct as we want. But the proof is in the pudding.

Yes, But what do the other "gods" do? What has the other gods sacrificed. God is not always angry. He never comes in Judgment without warning, Just think about how many chances he gave Pharaoh to Let Gods people go before Gods wrath was poured out. God leaves us excuse less before he comes in Judgment. But He can be very loving. In fact he loves you. He loves you enough to give his son for you.
No matter what you have done. He is the only God I know that will give that much for you. He invites you to live and have relationship with him, not just rituals, and Ceremony's. Ohhh yeah an shall I mention in that same bible God triumphs over all the other "gods", there is none Greater than the Real True Living God. I dare you to Challenge God against the other "gods". He will Win every time. Rom 4:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (even the other "gods")

They seem to overlook that.
Genesis implies multiple gods. After all, God created man in "our image." The creation myth contains plural pronouns. It's unclear just how many gods there are.
Exodus also implies multiple gods. One of the commandments is that you shall have "no other gods before me." God is telling people to worship just him and to not worship the other gods.
Not to mention that Satan is almost as powerful as God is. He waged war and worried God enough that he was cast down from Heaven. Satan is a god himself.
As a minor nitpick, it is "gods and goddesses." There is no need to place an apostrophe in the plural of goddess. Just being pedantic, sorry.

The answer to your question is, of course we realize that there are other gods and goddesses.
A Christian believes, however, that these "other gods", including your "energy that created all other gods" are false, lies, inaccurate, made up, not real with no real power.
You may believe in the falacy that "as long as you believe in something, whatever it is, it's ok." No, it isn't. It really doesn't matter how much faith you have. If the object of that faith is false their belief is false. Ex.: At one time all of the world believed, with all of their heart, that the earth was flat and it was possible to fall of the edges if you went too far.
Thanks for the 2 points.

The Bible says that which man worships becomes a god to him. In that regard, yes the Bible says there are plenty of gods. All false.

Without a working knowledge of scriptures and really any holy text in general, I revert to plain ol' logic.
Were there a spirit world (I'm sure there is), it would stand to reason that organization of some sort would be necessary in order to thwart chaos. LOTS of spirits and someone must be in charge. As much as I abhor chains of command and hierarchied structures, it seems impossible that no system exists...
Maybe the wiser souls get to call the shots. Some kind of democratic system?
Or maybe it's time in....
They're probably ballbusters, too. I'll wind up in the pokey.
Thirty millenia in the hole...

The first Commandment of "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" sort of implies the existence of other Gods.
If there weren't any other Gods, it would be kind of redundant to say this, wouldn't it?
I find it interesting that within this question alone, the answer from Christians range from "Yes, there are other gods but He is the most important" to "No, there are no other gods they're false idols". One would think this would be a pretty cut-and-dried sort of question, and yet even Christians can't agree on it amongst themselves.

Yes there are many gods and many lords, but there is only one true God. That is Jehovah! There is only one true Lord. That is Jesus Christ! All the other ones are equal to each other, because they are false! And were created by men. The only God that was not created was Jehovah!

Some of these answers prove that an atheist is simply someone who denies the same number of Gods as a Christian, plus one more. LOL the religious are a constant source of amusement.

Many Christians don't realize that in the early day of the Jewish faith, there was a goddess worshipped. It all falls under the category of "things they don't want to admit." Along with the fact that their heritage is one of polytheism.
