It's not bad, imagine scallops with a bit of fish flavor...

I have had fried, that look like little rings. If they don't cook it right it is a bit rubbery which is kind of creepy. But I am weird about texture.

I really enjoyed some "deep sea stir fry" that had little bitty squid and pieces of octopus stir fried in a light brown sauce with veggies at Lucky Chinese Buffet.

Here in Spain octopus is popular in the cafes.
Not too fishy in taste but can be chewy if over cooked.

I would eat every octopus that would lie down and let me. Season generously and fry.Tastes a little like a cross between fish and shrimp

as with anything, it all depends on how it's prepared....I've had it many times....taste and texture is very similar to clams or squid (calamari)....a little chewy, but quite good!

if you try calamari, then you have eaten squid, which looks scary, too!
