I got married in a sort of outdoor ampitheater and I had to walk down a lot of steps before I got to the aisle. The thing I remember most is when I got close enough to really look my husband in the eye. It was the most calming moment of my life. And at the same time I had never felt closer to my dad than at that moment when he walked me up to my husband. It was perfect and magical, just what every girl dreams of.
Of course my wedding was only a year ago so I remember a lot more than that...but that moment really sticks out in my mind as does the moment right when he said "man and wife" that just felt so profound and life changing.

There are many wonderful memories that I remember most about my wedding day. Thankfully it was well planned and I didn't have any unfurtuante events...I especially remeber two special things, my dad tearing up right before he was about to give me away(who never crys) and my husband tearing up while I was saying my vows!! Both men never cry, so this really touched me and left an impression on my heart!

When I first woke up I was told my Dad was getting ready for wedding.I had mailed letter to him months before with no word at all until that morning.I think(I know I woke up and said a bad word )..All I could think of was that he had not even been to rehearsal,he did not have matching clothes as the other guys,he would probably still have hair down to his hips and full beard(he was a shrimper)..and that is why we could not reach him..this was back in the day,no cell phones,etc)..Well,he came down the isle in a torquise and white striped suit, hair down to China, etc.I had his 90 year old dad as a back-up to walk me down the isle.He really could not walk,so that was a blessing that my Dad appeared, and it turned out my husband's granfather knew my dad.Dad had helped him on a fishing trip once and they could not praise him enough.Mind you,my husband's family was all high society at first impression.Moral of story..is love and do not judge, and know what is meant to be..will be.My dad is gone now,and I will always remember this day.

I remember those doors swinging open and seeing my husband to be standing there... the wow factor had kicked in and he looked so handsome. I forgot about everything except getting down there to him.
Haha, also, we said yes instead of I do... don't ask... and he just nodded his head and started placing my rings. It was funny because our pastor said, "Son you have to say yes first!" Everyone laughed and it's an ongoing joke now. It also makes watching the wedding video with guests very entertaining!

The carriage ride from the wedding site to the reception, through the gardens, the other garden visitors waving and congratulating us, at least, I noticed this when we weren't kissing.... :-)
The photographs were fun, too, a chance for all the dear friends to be a little goofy!

the moment i will never forget on my wedding day is the second right befor they opened upt he church doors. i was standing on the other side with my husband, since that is how europeans do it. my husband was okay and ready to go, but i was a little nervous. not about getting married, but about walking in church. i thought id strip or something.
so right befor they opened the door, right after they gave the queue to enter, i squeezed my husbands hand, looked straight and took a big deep breath. then the doors opened.
everything went so great. i loved it all.
thats the moment i will never forget. its was so peacful and i felt so loved.

The best part were the pictures the photographer took of just us two. She did some really romantic (or romantical as she called them) pics of us and it was a lot of fun. We were at a park on the water and she had great ideas. I normally hate taking pics, but it was a lot of fun.
