Can you prove your PC has an OS and application software? If a machine has no software. it usually is task oriented according to its design, such as a can opener or floor jack. When you bring in the computer, there is the ability to analyze and adjust, as well as many other complex tasks, such as in today's vehicles.
The human machine is far more complex than any of our crude gears and levers. It can not only analyze and adjust through its complex biologic computer system, it can ponder, create, reason, and emote. Without the soul, you could not do any such things. You would be an automaton that is programmed for a task. Something God would not stand for. You cannot have fellowship with machines.

Without a soul, a person will not be able to think properly.
Without a spirit, a person will not be able to work or live properly.
A combination of soul and spirit to make the mind get going. This are the 3 main things that make up a person.
Once a person pass-on, the soul and spirit will leave the body in an energy form which will stay in the world until they find the new body to enter to. And of cos, without the assistance of the soul and spirit, the mind will stop function immediately after the soul and spirit left the body.

A person that dies of "old age" has no medical explanation. All of a sudden something just stopped working or so they say.
The body and spirit function together, however, the body cannot function without the spirit. The spirit can function without the body.
The fore-mentioned scenario is an example of when it's time for the spirit to depart from the body, the body is left as a shell.

Every knows the composition of the body is basically dirt and water. You can't create a person by dumping a bunch of dirt and water in a box and shaking it up. Life takes another ingredient. One that is beyond our grasp. For thousands of years, everybody knew that having sex created babies. Science couldn't prove the fact until the turn of the 20th century. It's not likely science will know what or where the spirit of life comes from until they discover where the electrons of an atom make their quantum leap to.

I think this falls under Godels incompleteness theorem.
Any sufficiently complex system, mathematical, physics, or other, according to Godel MUST have unprovable statements.
There are things that can be both true and unprovable.
The human experience certainly qualifies as a "sufficiently complex system", so its possible for real and valid parts of that to be unprovable.

You can't. But you can't disprove the existence of the soul either.

we don't know yet(to prove or disprove its existence).. its something that we use to answer some questions to which we don't have any scientific explanation.
