I like guys that are shy when they are picking up on you, not the guys that think they are all that because they look like players.
I don't like quiet guys though. I like a guy with a sense of humor and something to talk about, but just don't have a big mouth, although on the first date I don't mind if they are quiet as long as they are not boring, but that's just me, some girls like the opposite.

I believe that many girls can like shy and quiet guys, as long as they can handle a discussion,normally a girl doesn't want to be the one doing all the talking...if the guy bores me for that i can see myself just walking away from him and the discussion

I'd have to say most don't... they want guys who aren't afraid to say "That's my baby" & what not. I think that shy girls want shy guys. Honeslty, I'm a laid back kinda girl looking for a laid back kind of boy that can start convos & make me laugh. If you're trying to go with a 'fast' girl, you have to step up your game & make her notice you. Like start conversations with her about stuff like "What's she up to". That's what I like... So that's what I think. That shy girls like shy guys & fast girls like fast guys... It's like fate. Shy people like to keep their relationship on the down low much, but still need to open up to each other. Don't be the dead goose (lol). Some girls expect guys to do most of the talking, so you gotta be on top of your game at all times. However, fast girls really don't care. They'll kiss & hug anywhere! They go for looks & not much personality. I hoped this helped, but I'm not an expert. Go for a shyt girl until you think you're ready for a fast one (if you turn into a popular jock aka jerk). Change for noone except your girl. You don't have to be fast to be loved by someone else. Just be your sweet & shy self. :) Trying to get a girl's attention. Hang out with someone you admire like on 'Why Can't I Be You' on MTV/MTV 2...
