I think you should do this slowly in case you do not like yourself as a blonde. Just do a few highlights around your face to start and if you like that, do more and gradually move into a blonde. It will be a huge shock if you go blonde all at once and it could end up the wrong shade as well. Good luck and have fun!

It should look good, as long as you expect to die it twice. I had dark blonde hair, tried dying it to a light blonde, and it's a reddish blonde now. Where the box tells you how it will turn out, use a shade that is supposed to turn out a shade lighter than you want. And make sure you condition like crazy afterwards!

I had medium/dark brown hair and started getting a lot of gray. I dyed it myself for years, but wasn't really too happy with the results. Found a great hairstylist who also colors it. Now, it's still dark brown (the underneath part near the nape of my neck), but the rest is blondish w/high and lowlights and it looks great!

I think you should go to a salon you trust and get their advice. Doing it yourself could be a mistake.

i think it will look odd. but thats just my guess. i would assume you dont have the right skin coloring for blonde hair if its dark brown naturally. i know i dont!

Might be cute, don't know what you look like. But if you're going to do it, have a professional do it. Not just a friend in her bathroom sink please! And dye your eyebrows to match. If I see one more blonde with Brooke Shields brows I'm going ot slap someone!

Maybe try a wig first.

don't do it! I tried it, it was a nightmare! and the swimming pool turns it green as well! lol. but apparently you can wash your hair in ketchup to make it blonde again!!!!!! I just dyed it back instead.

if your heart is set on going totally blonde then you need to go at it gradually...go to light brown first..its easier to go back to your natural if your dont like it that color... but if not try getting some highlights.. but get foil not cap... cap if not dont perfectally will give you spots... foil is done right to the scalp
