How long should you wait to have sex after a tonsilectomy?I know it is a crazy question,

24 hours....to allow the tissues to heal so that the increase in blood pressure caused by coitus doesn't bring on bleeding in the throat.

Well you should definately wait for the pain to subside; sex is fine, others things involving sex may have to wait longer

that's hilarious. i didn't think they did tonsilectomies anymore. i think that your body will tell you when you are ready.

They say no strenuous activity for two weeks. Just make sure it's not strenuous, and you'll be OK.

I would think you can have sex whenever you want. It's a totally different area of your body anyway! (haha)

if you got the energy then go ahead it wont hurt nothing. just dont put nothing in your mouth it could irritate your throat.
