What about Cartman? He's pretty famous. The episode where Kyle's dad can't get an erection, so they crucify Cartman so he'll get a "res-erection" for Kyle's dad. Nothing funnier than a fat kid on a cross.

Well Jesus was crucified with two other people (who, I suppose, are only famous because of this association). Also, some of his followers were subsequently crucified.

If you're asking why there were no famous crucifictions not related to the Bible, I would guess that this would be for two reasons: First, there aren't a whole lot of famous criminals from the time period in question. Second, crucifiction was a rather undignified death, so I'm guessing it wouldn't be used for what the Romans considered high-profile criminals. I'm just guessing at these two, however.

He isn't.

The rebel Spartacus was crucified, along with 6,000 of his compatriots all along the Via Appia - it was reported as a horrifying sight - travellers along this once peaceful country road had to pass 6,000 dead and dying men.

St. Peter, Jesus' principle apostle and the first pope, was crucified in Rome in approx. 70 A.D. Saint Andrew, his brother, was also crucified. So was a later bishop of Jerusalem, Simeon.

John the Baptist, on the other hand, was not crucified, despite one answer above to the contrary. He was beheaded by Herod the Tetrarch.

lots of famous people were crucified. Most people have correctly identified Spartacus and some of the earliest Christian martyrs. However, someone said St John the Baptist was crucified. He was not. He was decapitated and his head served on silver platter at the request of Salome.

He's the only famous person to be crusified because he died for our sins. He did that because he loved us so much and the King didn't believe him so he told his soldiers that to nail Jesus on the cross. So they did what the king told them to do and they felt terrible what they did. Then Jesus told the soldiers that he's hungery and thirsty but then when they gave him water and a peice of breed he refused it so he starved till he diedd. Then the next day the soldeirs took him off the cross and wraped him in a cloth and then putted him and the temple and a week later he came badck alive and he also healed people who needed to be heald. So yah that's why Jesus is the only famous person.
