I have been a Christian since as long as I remember. I see people talk about prosperity and people pray for a miracle and it dont happen. people who do right die early, preachers who say they love God but after church curse and argue with their husband and wife. They say God knows everything and he knows us even before we are concieved. If he knows everything then he knows when sin is going to happen if he knows its goin to hapen then why dosent he prevent it...why ask for forgivness for somethin he already knows we were goin to do...and why do the people whop pray all their lives get no where and the people who did wrong all their lives are prospering and are sucessful....

I think that the whole thing is just a belief...It gives people something to look forward to and work toward...people in prison do better when they focus on it. people who are going through some things are not going crazy because they feel that someone is watching them and taking care of them...

You sound like a very bitter person that doesn't understand God's love. People who question the existence of God or those who just plain don't believe...I have one question. WHAT IF YOUR WRONG? As a Christian, you learn to trust God with everything. You say people pray for miracles that don't happen and that people who do right die early. Miracles happen each and every day all around us. The fact that you are breathing is a miracle. The fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins is a miracle because we are unworthy. By the way, Jesus, who was the most righteous man to walk the face of this planet died at the mere age of...32!!!! As far as preachers arguing and cursing, just because they are preachers don't make them perfect. They are human just as you are. There was only one perfect man...Jesus!

Yes, God knows our thoughts and he knows when we are going to sin, but when we do there are 2 roads to take. We either do the sin and go about our merry way or we do the sin and regret and repent. God waits for that decision.

And why do people who pray all their lives get no where and the people who did wrong are prospering and are successful? In heaven, those who were first will be last and those who were last will be first. Once again, what if you're wrong?

I believe Jesus existed, but not the way Christians are claiming. I believe religion was created as a way to control the masses. Look at what people are willing to overlook (e.g. child molestation, incest, domestic violence, rampant hunger, violence, etc.) under the blanket statement "God will handle it." If there was no God/god, people would have to acknowledge the current systems are NOT working. The belief in a higher power just makes it easier to sleep at night that they don't have to be responsible for themselves or the condition of the society in which they live. Think about AA for a moment. There whole premise is based on the idea that they are powerless over alcohol. Who else is picking up the bottle if not them? It's all a hoax eroding the core of civilized society.

it's your own belief. that's why there is a lot of different religions, christianity, muslim, buddahism (just to name a few) then some people don't believe at all (atheitists--spelling=??)

there is no right/wrong although some people try to convince you to follow whatever they believe. i personally believe that there might have been a man names jesus who was a great person and healed people, but that he was nothing more than a ordinary man, just a very kind one that people looked up to. as for god, i'm not sure. i believe that they might be some sort of greater-force, which can be called as "god" by some people. as for the rest of the events in the bible i think that some may have happened in history and then got changed and exagerated over time by oral history. i mean, people did after all write the bible so they could change events if they didn't like it and put it in there own words.

that's what i think, listen to others thoughts but choose for yourself whether you believe in stuff or not. you can half-beleive, belive all the way, or not believe. it's your life, your choice.

Real in my opinion...

If life was easy, we would not need God. God has a plan for everything, and it is beyond our ability to understand.

You have to understand free-will. See, God gave us free-will to make our own decisions. However, no matter what decision we make, God knows the outcome. It is hard to explain, but let's say you come to the end of a road and you can go either left or right. God knows what will happen if you go left. God knows what will happen if you go right. But the choice to go left or right is up to you.

Prayer being answered or not is another thing. God is like a father who knows better than his children. If we got everything we prayed for, not only would we be spoiled, but sometimes the things we ask for is not what is best for us. Sometimes I think of that movie with Jim Carrey "Bruce Almighty". If you haven't seen it, try it. It is kind of a humorus way of answering these types of questions.

Real. OK, about the whole "preventing sin" thing, God doesn't prevent sin, because he gives us free will to make our own choices, and hopes that we follow the path that he is trying to lead us down. And yes, good people die early, but bad people die early too. And some miracles are a little bit harder to understand. It pretty much all comes down to faith. You have to believe that God's going to take care of you no matter what.

Success in the world does not mean success with God. As with the young ruler in the bible who asked Jesus what should he do. Jesus replied to give away all he had and follow him, and the ruler couldn't. Worldly wealth doesn't flow over after death.
Look around, the world is to complex for it to be a cosmic mistake.

God's will may or not be the same as ours. People all want what is good for them without regard for what God has in store. God's plan is God's plan, good or bad, as percieved by us.

People always ask "why did God let someone die, he was such a good person" The answer is that in God's plan, his time was over.

Man has the power of free will. To follow Jesus and the Father is a part of that free will, same as not to follow.

Religion in general is an invention of men. It is a tool to keep the masses inline, while those who have the power, keep it and the masses under control. I always liked wathing sports, but i always laughed when someone said "i'd like to thank god" for helping me make that last second 3, or a boxer who thanks god for the strength to knock out his opponent. What about the other guy, was he not worthy of gods help? Please. My personal favorite though, im from pennsylvania and many are penn state fans, and i see bumper stickers that say God is a Penn State fan because the sky is blue. So if im a Notre Dame fan im screwed? Don't forget, religion is a tool. It was created to keep the masses under control by promising salvation and setting down rules to be followed, while those who created it, kept the masses in poverty and created the most lucrative business in the history of man.

If you were a Christian all your life, the 1 thing you didn't pay attention to was"free will" An "GOD'S will" an the choices you make in life is why we have FORGIVENESS, You know the answer to your question, they're just not what you want. You are responsible for your action not GOD, so don't blame him! If you live by( do unto other as you would have them for you ) the rest will be good!

the first thing is: My God is with capital G because you're talking about MY GOD. you have the answer, "I have been a Christian" are you a real Christian, what is a Chritian for you, because for me is not somebody who said I'm Christian because my mom is Christian, or because of my grandma, NOOOO a Real Christian is the one who is a FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, been a Christian is not a religion, or a hat that you put on Sundays. Second. If you are a Christian then you will know the answer, the word of God said that we don't received something because we don't know how to ask God for it, or because we want something that like you said "God knows already what is goint to happen" is not goood for us. If you ask for perceverance, how can you get it? Romans 5 :3-6Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. And I as a Christian, I will tell you that God know your heart and HE knows what you need. You know that there is alot of people with millions and millions of dollars, but they are not happy, you know what? BECAUSE THE HAPPINESS IS WITH JESUS.
I go every Saturday to feed the homeless people and share the word Of God and His Love in Dowtown Atlanta with more brothers, and you know what touchs my heart? That they don't have anything, maybe a plate of food per day, and you know what they said? what they do? THEY said: GOD IS GOOD.
I hope it can be helpful for you. God Bless you

Not a "hoax" per se, which is a deliberate lie usually for personal gain. It is a fantasy, a way of coping with the complexity of life and fear of death. You are starting to see some of the contradictions inherent in the whole idea of a God, but in a simple and undeveloped way. Do some studying (I'll suggest Bertrand Russell) and flesh out those logical arguments!
