I gave birth in January, and bled (on and off) for about 3 weeks, with some lochia for another two or so. Then, two weeks later, I got my period! (AND I was breastfeeding). It varies from person to person, delivery to delivery.
You may need to cut down on activity, and it may just be your body's way of dealing with it this time around. I may have bled a bit more because they had a hard time getting the placenta out after delivery. I wouldn't worry yet, and congratulations on your new one!

That happened to me also. I came home and bled for about 3 weeks and stopped. I started doing so much b/c I had a 12 month old and a 2 year old and the baby to take care of, so I never rested! I went to the doc and he said I was overdoing it. Then I also got sick from my immune system being weak from my body being so exhausted! So....sit down!
Go away cobwebs and dust go to sleep...I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep!

I had 3 kids also, with each one it was different. The last one seemed to stop quicker (I was breastfeeding) but they all were constant not heavy bleeding for about 3 weeks after I had them.

If your bleeding stopped and then returned, it is highly likely that you are doing too much. Especially if you are a mom of more than one! Try to take it easy and see if the flow slows down and stops again.

Don't lift anything heavier than your new baby for about 2 weeks. And, by the way, congrats on your precious baby!
