As a wax pro... don't listen to what other people tell you. It doesn't take long and if your going to a salon they will be so quick you will feel nothing but if there is any discomfort just remember you will have NO itching as the hair grows back and it lasts far longer than shaving of veet ever could. Be brave it's worth it!

The pain is overrated. Seriously.
If you're considering going for your bikini line, you'll be just fine. The pain lasts for a second (your skin is pretty resilient to pain). If you can get used to the pain of waxing your legs and underarm then you can definitely get used to this.
Hair has to be about 1cm in length. Make sure the beautician uses wax that will harden and NOT strip wax that they typically use on legs. Wax that hardens will get a better grip on the hair so it reduces the chances of the beautician having to re-wax the same area if the first try missed hair (and re-waxing the same area could cause bruising).
If you're considering your bikini line, you should try considering going the full monty. Like i said, the pain is overrated and doesn't linger. I think the BIGGER issue people have is being comfortable while naked from the waist down in front of someone else.
1. Try and be comfortable with the person doing the waxing.
2. You do not need any painkillers (unless you REALLY can't take ANY kind of pain). If you want, you can buy an anaesthetic cream from a pharmacy apply it just before you go for the waxing.
3. Beauticians are professionals and there is no reason for you to be paranoid about what they could possibly think of your body. They do this for a living. They're like dentists.
4. Stare at the ceiling during the waxing, do NOT look at what's going on down there.

You'll just have to stand it really, but afterwards you'll be sore so smother lots of aloe vera on regularly and take some painkillers if it's especially bad.
Make sure you're going to a good place where they don't go over the same bit over and over again, which can strip the skin right off and is not nice at all. They should be really professional and do it quickly so the pain isn't drawn-out. Otherwise the more you get waxed, the less it hurts!

Take some painkillers to numb the pain. People also say the more relaxed you are the less it hurts - so maybe a quick tequilla will help too!

The only thing I can think of...is to think about some place you would rather be...think of someone that is currently in your life...think of something that will distract you from the waxing...ask a friend to go with you...and sit of course where your head is...and talk to you or read to you some gossip from a magazine...
Good luck & take care!

Just relax, if you are tense it will make it more painful but it really only hurts for one second and then its all over!
