I got my dress at David's Bridal and it was gorgeous and not a traditional gown at all. It had red on the top, bottome and laced up the back, I'm pretty sure they can do it with any color but we had chosen the red color for our bridesmaids with David's and decided to match it to my dress. A lot of brides are incorporating color into their dresses now for a very unique and individualized dress. I know the dress from David's is somewhat popular now but you could look in bridal magazines for others as well. I think that the color really adds to the whole look of your wedding.

You can look through the galleries at www.theknot.com or www.weddingchannel.com but I found that the most interesting designs come from the higher-end magazines. Especailly Elegant Bride. Sometimes InStyle bride has unique dresses too. I think it's because they are more "designer" style and less common. But they are really good if you're looking for something that isn't mainstream. Good luck!

I say color in any dress is very unique, not cream or ivory, but something like the color of your wedding colors. Also go to alfredangelo.com they have some great ideas for color-inspired wedding dresses.

If you can't find what you want, design your own! There are usually seamstresses in the area that can work with you- this skirt, but with this trim, and this bodice, but a different neckline, sleeves, train, etc.

I have a great link to some really cool gowns and with the prices you can have them altered (if you need to) and not kill your budget.

Try the bridal gown link here:

Good deals and really nice gowns. I got mine there and altered it to be exactly what I wanted.
