Since the beginning of time there have always been those who try to turn others away from the One True God. This will not change until the end of this age.

Because when we preach the truth, perhaps something inside these non-believers becomes unsettled, so to reassure themselves they mock Christians. They call us intolerant, stupid, and weak. They like to find one or two so-called "Christians" who are being morons, and then base the entire religion on that small percentage.
But thats ok, because the Bible predicted that we would be persecuted. Eventually the Lord's people will prevail and be exalted.
God bless!!
(Also: look at TigerLilly's comment. Its very good.)

There is a long battle on Yahoo Answers between the "christians" and the "athiests", and the mud slinging is being done by both side, no one group is innocent in this matter. It is simply people not having the maturity and intellegnece to express thier feelings and have acceptance for others which causes them to react with infantile spatter.

you really want to know? look at your bible and look at the world around you its dying because of ignorance that christians have made all these years. if i had it my way i would destroy all of your religion and then i would let the atheist have the world the way they want it to be. we as people know what christianity is and i know for a fact that the bible god is a war god who hates all of you and doesnt give a crap about you. we as people also find that christians are the cause for mental health problems and violence where ever you go so why dont you just take a look in the mirror and you will find that there is no light there as all the rest of us free spirited people have. christianity is based on fear guilt and shame there is no love in your religion so enjoy the ***** slaps that others give you since they are right about your beliefs.

I think because some Christians are rude, judgmental, and arrogant (these are not true Christians), and people who encounter these fake Christians think all Christians are this way. Understandably, this makes them have very negative feelings about Christians, so they lash out. Unfortunately, they don't know that real Christianity is not about judging others because so many hypocrites have made us look so bad.

It's fun and educational to mock idiots. Sadly, some Christians fall into that category. And I did not say all.

It's fun to mock that which you consider asinine. If you pay attention, you'll notice Christians here doing the same thing to Muslims and atheists.

I don't mock christians, I respect your beliefs. I mock the fundamentalists that say "Jesus is love, come to know him because if you don't you're going to burn in hell for eternity."
Those are the people I mock, just for my own entertainment.

It's a good way of pointing out how ridiculous religion is. Some people are more subtle than others. Then again some people just suck at it.

Because it serves to showcase the ridiculous nature and hypocrisy of christianity. That, and it's f-ing hilarious.
Billy, that's rich. Christianity is the most intolerant religion in the world next to Islam.
If christians didn't push their beliefs into my politics and schools, I wouldn't care what imaginary sky-pixie they chose to worship.
