what is your attitude to personal remarks-see also my question on people making remarks about my irish nationality.i once warned my mate because he was constantly harping on about my pot belly.it was heartbreaking for me as athough i dieted and exercised in those days i did not know that getting control of your sugars was the first step to dropping htat midriff fat-my pal is naturally slim around the middle and he started embarrassing me in front of other people;i tried everything and in the end i told him if he mentioned again he was out
here's the problem;it is important ot be sensitive to other people but where do ypu draw the line to avoid killing hte conversation completely?-one of he replies i got to my question about the 'retard acquaintances' as i descrived them who refer to my irishness earned a rebuke from smom who said it was insulting to people who have 'genuine development difficulties'-suely this is a good example of going to far in the opposite direction -tell me

It was not her business and not her place to remark on it. Disrespect is a valid reason for dismissal, especially if she has made remarks like this in the past. What I'd do if I was overweight and someone skinny remarked about it, I'd simply state "Oh, so the cocaine diet works well for you then? You seem to be rather thin, you know.". Don't dish out rudeness if you can't take it or you don't want to accept the consiquences.

My personal feelings are as followed: If you don't like the way I look, then don't look at me!!

Truly it is no one else's business but your own. I think people who go out of their way to make remarks about how some one else looks, has nothing better to do with their own time.
