See the problem here is that you assume he is being truthful with you. Any guy can get on the chat rooms, grab a hot photo from some website and say it is them. They can sweet talk all they want because they have time to think about their responses.
Nothing wrong talking with him online, just understand that he may not be what he seems.
How would I act to a girl talking with me? It depends on what I want out of the conversation. If I am talking with someone I want to actually talk with for a while, i will be fairly truthful, if I want to pull someone's leg, I am the cheese king of Dusseldorf Sweden or some such nonsense.

theres two passabilities
1) the guy is not telling the truth about how how looks and posted
a diferent pic
2)what are the odds of finding a realy cute guy on the net that really would want a serious realionship with a person they on the net

you're online,no one can honestly know who or what they are talking to.
you could very well be talking to a 55yr old 350lb slob who's rubbing himself in peanut butter while chatting with you, he just happens to have pictures of a guy you would think is hot

How do you know there's a guy? If you use this nickname (in_love_with_footbal), probably the "guy" thinks you are a guy and actually the "guy" is a girl!
