How much do teachers get paid in Texas? Let's say a pre-k or Kindergarden teacher. How long does it take or what is the procedure to take to become a teacher. Also what is the schooling cost to become a teacher?

You usually have to go to a school or some sort to try and get you teaching degree. And teachers now-a-days can get paid about 38,000 to 40,000 just starting off.. and that's in Texas, btw. (I want to be at teacher and I live in Texas, so..)

And the schooling cost? Probably as much as if you were to take a normal college class.. probably anywhere around 300 - 600 a semester. But you'd have to take Primary Schooling.. It will take longer than Secondary because you won't be teaching a primary subject.. so it can range in time.

You can most likely look it up on the internet as well. You just have to be picky about your word choice..

schooling costs depend on the school and how long it takes you to get through school. You should get a degree in administrative eduation. Teachers in Texas dont get paid THAT much (im from dallas texas) In 2003-2004 this was the average $46,597. Good luck!

Teachers in Texas start at between 32,000- and 36,000.

It requires a college degree in education.

Or a college degree in Math, science, art or english--- then passing the teachers training and certification course.

Depends on the school district. But I would say the medium pay for 1st year teachers would be around $32,000 - and that's with a 4-year bachelors degree.
