I know the feeling, tempting he! But I've always managed to keep my mouth shut.
The worst I did was at my sister's wedding, I had to bring the ring and the priest put his hand up, which I understood as "step back". He did it a couple of times so I stepped back a few times... only then did I listen and I realised he was trying to bless the rings!

basically when the vicar asks is there any reason why these two may not be joined in matrimony to declare it now. what happens is the doors are usually left open so if someone comes in they can say stop and people at the service can say so. You can shout out something providing it is a good reason why the wedding can;t go anhead then it can be stooped and wedding will not be allowed to go through

I have known couples that should not have been married, but I also know that saying something during the service would have been a very large mistake. My one cousin when he married, there was a bet as to how long they would stay married, I said less than a year and I won the pool. Everyone was guessing a year or a little longer, but I just knew it wasn't meant to be. So you are not alone when you want to say something but keep your mouth shut and not let anyone know.

Next time the vicar asks that. Step forward and ask him if he could list the reasons loudly for you, so you can make your mind up. Deliberate for a bit, with your finger on your lips. The tell him that it's ok. You can marry them now. Oh that feeling of power!!

i think that maximum Christian human beings get married in a church because of the fact it extremely is a extensive adequate construction which could accommodate their relatives of believers. commonly, Christians desire their non secular relatives with them on considered one of those joyous social gathering and are commemorated to have their pastor preside over the rite. It additionally value decrease than renting a hall (commonly loose). In my perception it extremely is no longer a do or die concern with going to church every time there's a provider. The Bible says no one is sinless or without blame so it extremely is no longer hypocritical to try to do issues which you will sense pleases God even however you will fall short now and back.

I had my matron of honor ready, "just in case". It was only a joke between us, but if for any reason anyone had an objection, she was to turn around, give them a good stare and point her finger at them, I don't know what the gesture is called, but it was like she would be saying "don't you dare". She didn't get to use it though. LOL.

40 years I've been going to bloody weddings, and not one of them has been a disaster yet. No impediments shouted out, no brides not turning up, no grooms handing out, during his speech, pictures of the bride shagging the best man, not even a fist fight between opposing families. BAH!

Yes, shout "Don't marry her - she's a slapper!"
"Don't marry him - he was in the local cat house last night"
"Don't marry her - I saw her coming out of the STD clinic"
"Don't marry him, he's had more blondes in the back of his car than he's had hot dinners"

"Do you really want genital warts?"
"Insanity runs in that family"
"She'll turn out just like her mother and look at her".

lol, that's enough - just give me top answer!!!

Yes, I get this too. I still think it's a good idea though... it gives everyone a chance for their final say for the marriage. If I felt strongly enough about a pending marriage, I'd say something!
