A friend's spayed female cat is trying to be nursed by an (unrelated) male kitten. Is it possible he's getting anything? The female is still of kitten-bearing age, but after a difficult pregnancy in while all her kits died, she had to have emergency spaying surgery.

No she can't produce anymore milk. Since her ovaries have been removed, her body doesn't produce the necessary amount of hormones to produce milk.

It is possiable. Often during a c-section, cats and dogs will be spayed while the doctor is in the abdomen. They are still able to nurse the puppies or kittens.
She probably is not giving much milk if any!!!!! Kittens will try to nurse on all kinds of things!!!!!
No harm though.

no she cant. But she still has the nurture feeling in her and feels that she should take care of the kitten. I had a cat that did this. She did have a secretion, but the vet said it wasnt milk.

No. To produce milk she needs hormones that she can't produce after spaying.
